Dashain Chad

The tenth day of Ashwin Shukla Pratipada, also known as Ghatsthapana, began with a deposit in each house. Dashain is known as the Great Festival of All Nepali Hindus, yet Nepal is home to more than just Hindus. Not all tenth believers are Hindus, and not all tenth Hindus are Hindus. Buddhists are regarded as the tenth non-Hindu group in Nepal. On the tenth, Buddhists too keep Jamara and celebrate it with grandeur. Buddhists speak both Nepali and non-Nepali languages. Non-Buddhists who speak Nepali are also present. Dashain is also observed by non-Buddhist Nepalese. Sanatan Dharma adherents include not only Nepali speakers, but also non-Buddhist Nepalese who believe in tithing. Nature worshiper is another term for it. Nature is the supplier of food and life for them, and nature is God.

This is an effort to examine the original tithe of Nepalese among Sanatan Dharma believers who regard nature to be a deity.

Mohani is the original and literal meaning of Dashain, which is celebrated by Nepalese. Dashain Chad is said by Nepalese while Mohani Nakha is said by Nepali speakers. Mohani, like Dasain, begins the Ghatsthapana day with a deposit.
