From today, the Navadurga Naach will be performed in the Madhyapurthimi city. The Navadurga Naach , which has religious and cultural significance in Bhaktapur, will be performed for eight days with the support and participation of the municipality, according to Madan Sundar Shrestha, head of Madhyapur-Thimi Municipality.
Thimi is a culturally significant city. The Navadurga Naach , which had been performed in Madhyapur-Thimi for a long time, had been discontinued for 11 years before being revived two years ago. The toll road, which has been entirely maintained by the municipality, will host a Navadurga Naach.
This dance, which began in Madhyapur-Thimi Municipality‘s Digu Tole, will continue tonight. Nava Durga has been worshipped and danced by the natives. Balkumari, Layaku, Dathutol, Marutol, Vamune, Tacho, Tachutol, Povu, Chapacho, Nagdesh, Bode, and other locations will host the dance for eight days. The Navadurga Naach , which had been performed in Madhyapur-Thimi for two decades, was shut down for 11 years due to security concerns, but was reopened in 2075 BS once elected representatives arrived.
“The municipality has dedicated funds to preserve the arts, culture, and cultural festivals of Madhyapur-Thimi,” stated Shrestha, the municipality’s chief.
